Complete set of Chinese export porcelain Taoist immortals riding their mythical animals, decorated in opaque enamels of the Famille Rose (falencai) palette.

The immortals are:

ZHANG GUOLAO with double-stalked bamboo on a black mule;

LU  DONGBIN with fly-whisk on a green lion;

LI TIEGUAI with a double-gourd on a tiger;

ZHONG LIQUAN with fan on a double-horned qilin;

LAN CAIHE with floral basket on a white elephant;

CAO GUOQIN with castanets on a white horse;

HAN XIANGZI with flute on a single horned bixie;

HE XIANGU with lotus on a deer grasping lingzhi (fungus).

Circa 1780, Qianlong reign, Qing dynasty.
