◆ Although impossible to identify, these landscapes were usually from the estate of the client who ordered the set. At this time the porcelain was decorated in Canton to avoid breakages in transit and to speed up the delivery of the orders while the European merchants were in the city waiting for the wind to change to return to their home countries.
