Rare Chinese export porcelain tea canister and cover decorated in grisaille with a crest and a subject after Ruben’s painting «Cimon and Iphigenia» c. 1617/8, based on a tale by Boccaccio (Cimon was of noble birth but living a dissolute life until he saw the beautiful Iphigenia and her retinue sleeping under a tree. By the power of love he changes his life around and turns into a gentleman.), c. 1740, early Qianlong reign, Qing dynasty (3909) 13,5 cm, 5¼ in. This crest has been used by many families and could be Halkett or Graham. 6.8037

罕見的中國外銷瓷墨彩帶蓋茶葉罐,紋飾為一頂冠及一幅源自畫作《西蒙與艾菲琴妮亞》的圖案,此畫由魯本斯於1617-1618年間根據作家喬萬尼.薄伽丘筆下的一個神話而創作,神話中的西蒙原為一個過 著放蕩生活的貴族,直到一天他遇見了和隨從一起在樹下酣睡的美麗的艾菲琴妮亞,愛情的力量讓西蒙改變自身并成為一位風度翩翩的紳士,約1740年,清乾隆早期,高13.5釐米,5¼英吋。這個冠飾曾被很多家族使用, 有可能是Halkett家族或者Graham家族的標誌。
